That last W-2 has come in! You are finally ready to do those taxes, and — SURPRISE! You have a huge refund coming! Why not turn that refund into a cruise vacation?
When I did my taxes this year, I found out that I gave the government way too much money in 2009. Thankfully, they plan on giving me that money back. It’s going right into my cruise fund.
Given that TravelWeens is based in Alabama, it seemed only fair to launch our new “Departure Deals” by featuring the port of Mobile.

Saturday morning, the Crown Princess pulled into Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. effectively ending our week-long vacation in the Caribbean.
As you can tell if you read the rest of these entries, we enjoyed ourselves very much on this ship. It was very classy, and among the best ships I’ve ever had the pleasure to sail.
There was never a moment where we had no activities available to us. From the Movies Under the Stars to the miniature golf on Deck 19 (yes, 19 decks!), there was always something to do. In fact, after a week, there were still places we had not had a chance to go on the ship.
The Crown Princess arrived at Princess Cays at about 8:30 a.m. Princess Cays is on Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas.
We decided to go to the beach, but we were sucked in to a movie on the TV — “Terminator: Salvation.” Once the movie ended, we finally got off the ship.
As soon as we departed Cozumel on the Crown Princess, we headed northeast towards the northern Cuban coast and sailed through the night.
The sea day began very lazily for me. We woke up, ate a delicious breakfast in the dining room and planned our day.
There were several activities planned for the sea day, but there was no way we could attend them all. We watched “Transformers 2″ on the Lido Deck and then dominated our second TV theme trivia contest.
The Crown Princess pulled into Cozumel at about 9 a.m. on our fifth day.
It was another gloomy day, but it cleared up fairly quickly. The sun came out near noon, and it never went away again!
