On the way to our first port on the Crown Princess, George Town, Grand Cayman, we spent an entire day at sea.
These are great days for relaxing and participating in the many events scheduled on the ship.
My wife spent a bit of time at the Lotus Spa on Deck 16 while I played cards. We also participated in a TV Theme Trivia event. It turns out that I spent a lot of time watching TV as a kid because my team tied for first place. We only missed one theme song.
I mentioned that we were going to head to the Crown Grill in yesterday’s post, so I won’t dwell too much on this except to say that the food was unbelievably good. It rivals the best steakhouses in America, but the prices are extremely reasonable. In fact, it was only a $25 cover charge, and you could order whatever you wanted from the menu in whatever quantities. Want a filet, a ribeye and a lobster? No problem.
As if the dinner weren’t enough, we spent an evening watching a “Movie Under the Stars.” The photo here doesn’t do it justice, but the experience was terrific. We lounged on deck chairs with a couple of blankets and watched “Star Trek” on this big LED screen.
We woke up this morning ready to enjoy Day 3 in George Town, Grand Cayman.
More to come!
